Dana is the Executive Director of the Education Foundation for Fort Worth Schools. She has 17 years of experience in education and was a key player in the creation of the Fort Worth ISD Education Foundation in 2013, where she served as the Foundation Administrator for three years. In August 2017, the Fort Worth ISD Education Foundation was restructured as the Education Foundation for Fort Worth Schools, with Dana appointed as the Executive Director. Dana has extensive experience in grant development, grant management, and working with foundation funders and regulators at the state, federal and local levels. Dana currently serves as the Texas State Representative for the National School Foundation Association’s Industry Leadership Council. Dana has a master's degree in Educational Leadership from Concordia University and received her bachelor’s degree in Education and Public Policy from Ashford University. She received her Nonprofit Management Certificate through CNM Connect in 2015 and her Nonprofit Leadership Certificate through Southern Methodist University/CNM Connect in 2015. A product of the Fort Worth ISD school system, Dana attended Benbrook Elementary School, Monnig Middle School, and graduated from Western Hills High School where is an involved alumnus. She is an active member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, the National School Foundation Association, the Texas Education Foundation Network, and other community organizations.
