The Education Foundation for Fort Worth Schools is…..

A community organization dedicated to supporting programs that accelerate the academic performance of the FWISD's 87,000 students.  For donors, the education foundation provides a tax-deductible way to support critical programs with assurance that all funds go to the intended purpose with defined goals and objectives.  For the FWISD, the education foundation fills the funding gap for proven academic activities that are unable to be funded through the District’s traditional sources, such as property taxes.

We raise and manage funds, and engage business and community partners to provide opportunities for all students to become successful adults in our communities.

The EF4FW, established in 2014, is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, guided by a volunteer board of directors dedicated to the success of the Fort Worth ISD students and staff.

What is an Education Foundation?

It is a 501(c)(3) non-profit public charity that supports a school district, but is governed by an independent, community-led board of directors and supports a public school district through resources and community engagement.

Local education foundations can be extremely impactful. They can be the bridge between public and private partnerships, supporters of supplemental programs, providers of resources and scholarships, and stewards of accountability to the foundation’s donors. Funding can be allocated to classrooms, campuses, or even to district-wide programs that are not funded by tax dollars..
